Refunds, cancellation and transfer policy

 

The Crush Cancer 5k is a charity road race fundraiser for Team Crush Cancer,  a Pan-Mass Challenge team raising funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Every penny donated through the PMC goes directly to the DFCI.  The DFCI is, for all too many reasons, near and dear to the Northeast family and members of Team Crush Cancer.

Since 2013, the Crush Cancer 5K has been all about growth.  This race, which started with 90 runners and raised $1300 for the DFCI, has grown to over 500 participants in 2016 and has donated $17,500 in its first four years.

Join us for the CC5K and 3K Family Fun Run/Walk in Bridgewater, MA on the new courses  OR run with us in spirit with the Virtual 5K!  The 5K certified course is flat and fast and will be very PR friendly. See below for more details…

-Run, walk, hop, hike, stroll or burpee your favorite road course, trails, track or hit the ‘dreadmill.’ This is totally on the honor system and there is no need to send any proof. That is, unless you want to share a photo from your run? #crushcancer5k #northeastracers

Team Competition

BIGGEST TEAM-  The registered team with the largest number of participants registered before the close of online registration will be the 2017 winner.  Teams can be comprised of a mix of participants entered in the 5K road race, 1 Mile Family Fun Run and/or the Virtual 5K. The Biggest Team will be awards a little trophy and some major bragging rights.

FASTEST TEAM- To qualify, a registered team must be mixed coed or all female and have a minimum of three participants before the close of online registration in the 5K road race (Virtual 5k and 3K Family Fun Walk participants do not qualify).  The fastest team will be scored with the total time of the top three performers of each team, including at least one female runner in the scoring. All scoring based on ‘gun start’ times.

Gym Bag Raffle

We will be gathering goods, services and gift cards from local area businesses and raffling them all together as one prize. For every $5 additional donation made while registering, you will be automatically entered or you can buy tickets at the event. The winner will be drawn at conclusion of the Crush Cancer 5K. Attendance not required.
